Wallaby Control

Wallaby Control

Specialists in Wallaby Control within Aotearoa, New Zealand

Primarily Mainland Vector Contracting Ltd targets the Bennett’s wallaby in the Waimate region. Over the previous 6 years our team have established ourselves as an experienced aerial wallaby contractor, working along side a reputable local helicopter firm. We have aligned ourselves to become a preferred supplier for Environment Canterbury’s wallaby operations.

These operations can include aerial or ground based toxin techniques that can be followed up with thermal or night shooting.

This combined method creates a very effective tool for continuing to keep numbers at low levels for long periods, a real positive for protecting the stakeholders original investment.

Our team can also tailor a package for low density populations where eradication is the directive. Previous operations have included working alongside The Otago Regional Council to search and remove small populations inside the Otago regional boundaries and also with Land Care Research to aerially live capture, collar, and release for the research of effective control methods.
